It has been an amazing day. After waiting through an evening of being induced into labor, Cheyenne's water broke at 1:35pm and was scheduled to have an epidural at 2pm, but Cali had other plans...she was ready to make an appearance. The epidural was cancelled and 100% natural child birth began. At 2:47pm, Cali McKenzie Heltemes was welcomed into this beautiful world. She weighs 6 pounds, 15 ounces and is 19.5 inches long.
Both Cali and Cheyenne are doing great...oh, and yeah, I am doing okay--a bit tired and a little back pain, but I will manage (I can feel the women reading this blog, wishing the worst upon me as they read that previous sentence)!
I have been trying since 6 o'clock this evening to get photos uploaded but the internet has not been cooperating. I have posted a few iPhone photos on Facebook, but this is my first promising outlook at posting them on the blog or 3rd party site. Let's pray this works.
These photos have not been edited or retouched, Cheyenne and I just look that good!
All of our unedited photos (due to time constraints) can be found here.
