The Little Things

The little things I am thankful for today:

1.  Cali seems to be coming off her week long pacifier strike.  Believe me, it's a LOT harder to soothe her if she doesn't want her pacifier.

2.  Gas drops--they seemed to give Cali a little relief last night...her 2-3 hour screaming fit that she's had the last 5 nights in a row seemed to be a little less intense

3.  The one 4+ hour stretch of sleep Cali allowed us last night

4.  Trying on my old jeans today and realizing they actually fit again

5.  Actually having a spare moment to write this blog... :)

6.  A hot shower after 2 days without one

7.  Remembering/having time to brush my teeth twice in one day...maybe i'll get back to 3 times someday

Ok, so I am sure you have had your fill of unsolicited advice but I just had to mention this because we went through a lot of screaming nights with Katelyn: have you tried a moby or hug-a-hub (stupid name, i know) wrap? Katelyn couldn't fight sleeping for longer than 1 minute after we put her in there and I always wished I'd tried it sooner. Anyway, I am glad to hear things are going a little better for you, the first months were a little rocky in the sleep dept. for us too.

i'll take any advice i can get, honestly! someone got us a different carrier that we just got...we'll definitely try that, and if that doesn't help, i'll look into the kinds you mentioned. it's just good to know that other babies had screaming nights too...honestly, i thought you all had these perfect babies because no one ever really talked about the hard stuff...but i've heard similar stories from others this week too. We wish we could have any of you experienced new moms come over and teach us inexperienced parents a thing or two, but living here, we're pretty much on our own! so we will never get our fill of advice, i promise :)
